What fair looks like
Three things every Filipino should be able to count on.
Being open about non-belief shouldn't cost anyone their standing. Here's the level ground we work toward.
Equal citizenship
The same rights, protections, and respect owed to every citizen — extended to the non-religious without exception, apology, or asterisk.
Understanding over myth
We explain what atheism and agnosticism actually are — and what they are not — so reason and evidence, not misconception, shape how people see the non-religious.
Honest, open dialogue
A community where believers and non-believers can speak plainly and stay civil. Questions are welcome here; hostility isn't.
The red A
Why our mark is a scarlet letter.
The red “A” is the international symbol for people who are openly, unashamedly non-religious — the sign you wear when you're done hiding it. Ours carries that spirit: not to argue anyone down, but to say plainly that a Filipino can be secular and still belong.
Our work
How ideas become community.
From the country's first convention to a weekly conversation that never stopped — this is where the advocacy meets real people.
Atheists & Agnostics Convention
PATAS held the Philippines' first — a day of talks, learning, and gathering that gave the community its first public meeting place.
PATAS Weekly
A live show where members talk through belief, non-belief, and everyday secular life — open, recurring, and easy to join from anywhere.
Talks & resources
Explainers and campus engagements that answer honest questions about atheism, agnosticism, and the separation of church and state.
“To question is not to attack. PATAS exists so a Filipino can say ‘I don't believe’ and still be met as an equal.”
Who we are
A volunteer-run nonprofit, since 2011.
PATAS grew out of the Philippine Atheist and Agnostics Society into a registered organization for the non-religious and their allies.
